Creating
a Ceremonies-Based Ministry -
From Blessings to Bookkeeping
Begin a new career in ceremonies based ministry by exploring the
psycho/spiritual principals of success while learning solid business
skills. In-class curriculum focuses on visioning, specific marketing
skills, setting up your business, role play practice of true to
life business situations, and client follow-up. Classes focus on
wedding ceremonies, the most common way we are called to serve,
while holding the space for all ministers to explore their personal
expression of ministry. Students will receive feedback and coaching
on real life events in each class. Class sessions cover:
• Marketing and finding clients (including Internet marketing).
• The initial contact with prospective clients.
• Creating the ceremony
• Performing the ceremony
• Building client relationships.
This five session class with Rev.
Susan Turchin and invited guests provides all the tools you
need to build an exciting ministry performing ceremonies.

Professional
Speaking Skills for Ministers
In this class, professional instruction by Rev.
Allan Lokos, combined with imaginative exercises help enhance
the skills necessary to effectively present sermons, perform weddings,
officiate at funerals and speak in front of an audience on any occasion.
The class is limited to 10 participants to allow each student ample
opportunity to make a presentation and receive feedback in every
session. The class will cover:
• Overcoming fears
• Crafting effective short and long presentations.
• Presentation styles
• Finding your authentic voice
Upon completing the course students will have a solid
foundation of speaking skills, enhanced confidence in their ability
to be in front of an audience, and a beginning repertoire of material
appropriate to situations where clergy are asked to address a group
of people.
